Bákayan

Born in the early 90’s, Burak aka Bákayan has spent his life nurturing his love for music. Bákayan grew up in the quiet countryside of South Germany, where he quickly began filling the silence with musical creation. As a child he taught himself how to play the guitar and soon found his voice singing and writing songs. Honing and developing his very own style of verbalized emotions and memories, Bákayan makes use of his South-Eastern roots to create a sound entirely of his own.


After a deep connection and extended personal experiences in the European capital of dance music, Berlin, Bákayan naturally broadened his musical creativity. He quickly found himself integrating his vocals, as well as acoustic elements with electronic productions. His journey of sonic experience helped solidify his niche in the live Organic House, Melodic, Afro and Indie Dance worlds.


Following his first record "Umut Var" in 2021, he has produced and released numerous singles and EPs for renowned labels like A Tribe Called Kotori and Kindisch. Bákayan has found himself garnering great support from the likes of many artists, among them Oliver Koletzki and Black Coffee.


Just like most talented artists, Bákayan’s musical success was inevitable. The DJ, Producer and Vocalist broke past the German borders, and quickly began growing his fan base around the globe. Playing a wide range of shows, from the Phoenix Klein in Istanbul to the iconic performance at Monastery Ruins Allerheiligen in Schwarzwald, Germany.


With an ever evolving, exciting future on the horizon for Bákayan, one thing will always remain the same. Push the sonic envelope, create and release new sounds, travel to new countries, and enjoy the musical moments made with new friends and fans.
